Community North Hospital

As part of its $170 million expansion in 2007, Community North Hospital also included a plan to bring beautiful healthcare art to decorate its long interior corridors.

Taking advantage of the space, the team decided to also incorporate a unique type of healthcare lighting by bringing in custom Luminous SkyCeiling to create a sustained illusion of sky along the entire perimeter.

The result was a dramatic effect along the 76-foot corridor. The continuous virtual skylight invites visitors to enjoy the gallery-quality environment, which retains a distinct open ambiance, a welcome contrast to the tunnel effect that plagues so many interior hallways.
